Senior Portrait FAQ
Why hire DCharles to do my senior portraits?
Don takes senior portraits that express who you are, not just how you look. Instead of a standard head & shoulders shot using a fake background, your portrait will be taken in a setting that is significant to you or that offers the natural beauty or urban appeal that will make your portrait memorable and unique.
What happens in a senior portrait session?
Your portrait session can begin in the studio and then move to a location of your choice, or we can do the entire session on location. There are no limits to wardrobe changes, poses or exposures. Please plan to have a parent accompany you.
What does shooting on location offer me?
The two most important characters in any portrait are the subject (that's you) and the setting. The unique lighting and other characteristics of location settings bring an added dimension to portrait photography.
Can you suggest some great locations for senior portraits?
It depends on you and your interests. Don has photographed an all-conference swimmer in her backyard pool; a future firefighter at the local firehouse, and a future art student at her favorite coffeehouse. Other locations have included high schools, parks, industrial warehouse areas, barns, the U of M Crew facility and many more.
How will I select the photos I want printed?
After editing, we will post your images to a password protected online site. You may also order 4x6 proofs or a proof book for an extra fee.
